How Garment Remodelling Works
Every remodelling project begins with a careful review of the garment itself. Fabric condition, seam allowances, construction details, and the fit you want all affect what can be achieved, so the first step is always assessment before any final quote is given.
If a redesign is a good fit, we discuss the concept, confirm the scope, and agree on the work before stitching begins. This approach keeps the project practical and helps make sure the result follows the garment's structure rather than forcing an unrealistic change.
Reuse what still works, reshape what no longer fits
Fine Stitch turns existing garments into pieces that feel more current, more wearable, and more personal.
Our work often includes dress and skirt remodelling, shirt and jacket restyling, vintage-garment fit updates, and fabric-reuse accessory projects. When materials need replacing, matching items are quoted separately and confirmed only when available.
Because each garment is different, the final outcome depends on the original construction and the condition of the fabric. Some repairs may remain visible, and careful fitting reviews are part of the process before collection.
