About Fine Stitch

Remodelling clothes with purpose

We remodel and alter garments with careful attention to fabric, fit, and the story behind each piece.

Fine Stitch was founded in 2016 to give clothing a longer, better life through thoughtful tailoring, remodelling, and upcycling. We work with garments that need a new fit, a new shape, or a new purpose.

Every project begins with an assessment of the garment and the materials already in hand. That helps us define what is possible, explain the limitations clearly, and agree on a practical scope before work begins.

Our story

A studio focused on second chances

Built around careful review, clear approval, and realistic results for each garment.

Fine Stitch grew from a simple idea: well-made clothing deserves a second chance when the fit changes or the style no longer feels right. That approach shapes every consultation, from the first inquiry to collection.

We plan each redesign around the original construction, usable fabric, and the requested finish. When extra materials are needed, they are discussed separately so the scope stays clear from the start.

Our work is especially suited to vintage pieces, sentimental garments, and clothing chosen for upcycling. The goal is to preserve what still works while reshaping the piece into something more wearable.

Why choose us

What guides our work

Clear communication, written scope, and practical remodelling help each project stay on track.

Assessment before quote

We start with a garment and material assessment before discussing the final scope. That keeps expectations realistic and helps us recommend the right kind of alteration or redesign.

Remodelling with restraint

From dresses and skirts to shirts and jackets, we reshape clothing with an eye for reuse. When a redesign is possible, we work with the strongest parts of the original piece.

Fit checked twice

Fit updates and finishing work are handled with care, and the garment is reviewed again at collection. Small final adjustments can be made without changing the agreed design.

Made for reuse

We support customers who want to keep clothing in use for longer. That includes sentimental garments, vintage pieces, and fabric-reuse accessory projects.
